Railcars
The Great Western Railway introduced a total of 38 Railcars between 1934 and 1942 built by Park Royal, Gloucester RCW and Swindon Works. These were bogie units capable of towing a trailer carriage or van and were configured for passenger and parcels traffic.
BR placed orders in 1958 with five builders to supply four-wheeled Railbus's for light passenger duties. These units were generally unreliable and all had been withdrawn by 1968. The Park Royal Railbus was by far the most attractive of the designs.
